Secret Stage mode

Beat all seven special stages, go to main menu and press Up, L, Down, R, Right, Left.

Change color settings

At "Press Start" screen, press R. In the upper right corner, the game will display the color setting that you are playing on. Hit R again to change the color settings. By Selecting The System Your Palying On,  The color settings will optomize.
